Background

Peniella Foundation (PF) was established in 2018 with the aim of creating a more equitable and sustainable world. Inspired by the urgent need to address intersecting challenges facing women, communities, and the planet, PF was born. Recognizing the intersectionality of women’s empowerment, gender equality, and climate change, the foundation seeks to be a catalyst for societal transformation and operates at the nexus of these critical issues, leveraging education, advocacy, and community engagement to drive positive change.

Drawing on diverse expertise and experiences, PF aims to create a world where empowerment, equality, and environmental stewardship are not just aspirations, but lived realities. With a focus on women’s empowerment, gender equality, and climate change education, PF endeavors to foster resilience, ignite innovation, and inspire collective action.

Gender Equality Advocacy Campaigns: Launch advocacy campaigns to raise awareness about gender-based discrimination, advocate for policy reforms to promote gender equality, and challenge harmful stereotypes and attitudes.

Climate Change Education Programs: Develop educational materials and curriculum on climate change, tailored to different age groups and educational levels, and conduct outreach programs in schools, communities, and online platforms.

 

Community-based Projects: Implement community-based projects that empower women and girls to become agents of change in environmental conservation, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and waste management initiatives.
